Russia Wants Gas From 3rd EU Package

Russia is Europe's main gas partner, but the parties suffered from different opinions regarding the third legislative package on energy that was created by the European Union. The outline in the package has an adverse effect on energy transporters and it is unlikely that investors are willing to finance any planned projects due to the growing restrictions placed on gas transporters as part of the third legislative package.

Russia is currently supplying Europe with one third of it's gas, with experts predicting a gas consumption boom in the coming years – pushing russian gas supplies to an expected 50%. Europe will not fully change their legislation, but Russia is looking o have exceptions allowed for.
